James's Story
After Cedarbrae, I returned to the US and completed my senior year of high school at a prepatory academy in Maine. I went on to College in Iowa and studied pre-Veterinary med. After graduation I moved out to Berkeley, Calif and was drafted into the US Army in 1969.
I served as a Sergeant in the Medical Corps and came back to Canada in 1972, after travelling through Europe.
I arrived at Vancouver, penniless, with 2 pairs of skis, a BMW motorcycle and long hair! My poor parents!
I soon moved up to Whistler mountain, where I tried my hand at logging, log home building & general construction.

n the local ambulance service there for 16 years and stayed on part-time until retirement in 1999.
Tried marriage, didn't like it much.
Love to raise dogs and am still friendly with my last ex and her family, who are also dog people.
My latest effort was as a driver for people and gear at the Olympic and Paralympic games in Whistler and Vancouver, 2010. It was a highlight of my career here and all went very well. I enjoyed having all the other nations coming here to compete. Most of the visitors loved their time here!
Now it's time to tune up the boat and go out to the Pacific for some fishing!
